September 2009 was in line with expectations. Hartmann retains its outlook for 2009 and its ‘10 in 10’ goal.
Peter Arndrup Poulsen, CEO of Brødrene Hartmann A/S, comments on the Interim Report at 30 September 2009:
"We reported a strong performance for Q3 2009, in which we doubled our operating profit compared with Q3 2008. The positive trend was primarily driven by production efficiency improvements and an improved product and price mix. Thus, our target to continuously increase earnings is proceeding according plan."
"In our European business, we continued to achieve operational improvements as a result of process automation and optimisation. We are, however, still affected by unfavourable exchange rates."
"Profit for the first nine months of 2009 improved and came to DKK 22 million against a loss of DKK 15 million in the year-earlier period."
