Hartmann has a comprehensive insurance programme, which reflects the scope and extent of its operations and their geographical location. Once a year, the insurance programme is reviewed together with the Group’s global adviser to ensure that adjustments are made on an ongoing basis in support of Hartmann’s development and, thus, that any possible effect on the Group’s financial performance is minimised.
The total loss of a factory due to fire constitutes the single most important risk for Hartmann, as the reestablishment of production facilities would take a long time, involving the risk of losing market shares and the risk of business interruption. Therefore, Hartmann has taken out an all-risk insurance policy for all production facilities, which includes fire events, business interruption and other incidents.
Hartmann is furthermore making a systematic effort to prevent injury and damage, and together with the Group’s insurance broker, the Group has implemented a risk management programme. Hartmann’s insurance programme also covers commercial and product liability, property and contents, business interruption loss, occupational injuries, personal injury and environmental liability.
